Hungarians of the world unite in an effort to help a disabled family
„Cooperation Without Frontiers for a Home”
For our young generation to imagine their future in their homeland, that is, for them to feel at home here in Hungary, the strongest impetus is the hope of someday owning their own home. With strong collaboration and savings, this dream can become a reality, according to the Hazat Hazat Foundation’s leaders, colleagues and volunteer workers, with their director Kálmán Lőrincz at the helm. More and more people are lining up to support their daring vision, which proves that civil organizations are indeed alive and that with the right motivation and and the right cause, Hungarians are in fact a united nationality when given an encouraging goal.
In addition to a number of civil organizations and charitable citizens, the Panorama World Club network is also helping to make the dream come true: they are mobilizing expatriate Hungarians to support the Hazat Hazat Foundation. They are actively promoting charitable actions and next year’s participants of the Hungarian World Summit will be building a home for the disabled under the banner of „cooperation without frontiers”. Expatriate Hungarians will be carrying bricks, mixing cement, painting walls and designing the home environment. In the interest of making this event a reality, the Hazat Hazat Foundation, established in 1992, is calling on all Hungarians around the world to join in this wonderful effort and provide an example by offering their support, by donating and by volunteering. Let’s unite in building a home for a disabled family!
Dr. László Tanka, the World Club’s founding president, together with Kálmán Lőrincz, the Hazat Hazat Foundation’s director, and the president of Panorama World Club’s sister club of Pest County, are calling on all fellow Hungarians, both at home and abroad, on all 80 World Club leaders and members to support the cause and help raise the necessary funds to build this house through the collection of donations at locally organized events. On top, they call on them to recruit volunteers at the third Hungarian World Summit on May 23rd to help build this house, participate in its inauguration, and make a needy family extremely happy.
We would kindly request all donations to be sent continuously to our Foundation, and no later than March 15th, 2013
in order that the house be designed in time for the World Summit, plans for building it be prepared, and that during the event, with the representation of all organizations, we all volunteer together to build this home and hand it over ceremoniously to the family under the banner of „Cooperation without Frontiers for a Home”.
All those who helped build the home through their donations and volunteer work will be honoured with a plaque.
It is our fundamental belief that wonderful feelings of fulfilment and joy will spread when the Hungarians of the world unite in a common, sublime goal and set an example!
In the words of István Széchenyi: „Let’s dare to be big!”, and in the words of Kálmán Lőrincz, the initiator of this project, „Let’s dare to build a house and a home with diligence and willpower, because every Hungarian is responsible for his and her fellow Hungarian.”
Our motto: Be at home here at home!
